Saint Pons cradles the great vintages of Château Sainte Marguerite. Facing North-South towards a light slope, the majority of the vines planted on this site are more than 50 years-old; certain vines of Ugni-blanc have been growing since 1901. This soil is low in organic matter, which is composed of schist and quartz with a small proportion of clay. This extraordinary combination of old vines and a very mineral ground gives elegant, and fine wines. The higher part of the field is planted with Grenache and Cinsault giving birth to the famous Cuvée Pons Saint; a dry « Cru Classé rosé » particularly elegant and sophisticated.
